6814 Steffl (1979 MC2) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on June 25, 1979 by E. F. Helin and S. J. Bus at Siding Spring. It is named in honor of Andrew J. Steffl, an American astronomer who co-discovered Pluto's moons Nix and Hydra.
